Student and Youth Groups

With museum-trained docents as your guides, visit our permanent collections and special exhibitions to explore the history of visual arts and their link to language arts, history, social science, mathematics, and other disciplines. Our tours are designed to assist students of all ages and abilities to develop their visual and thinking skills while engaging in inquiry and observation. Add art to your STEM curriculum with a STEAM tour, or let us design a tour on a topic of your choice. Popular topics include American Art and Culture; Animals in Art; Arts of Asia; Echoes of Antiquity; Medieval and Renaissance; or Museum Discovery.

Guided tours for groups of ten or more are available Wednesday through Sunday, beginning at 10am. A maximum of 80 students per visit is recommended. Tours are generally one hour in length unless otherwise requested. Self-guided visits are welcome during public open hours but advance notice is required.

Groups are asked to provide one chaperone for every 5 preschoolers, 10 elementary students, or 12-15 secondary students. Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising the group at all times.

Tour fee: $5 per student. Includes general admission.
Worcester Public School students: Free.
Chaperones: Free.

Group Tour Scholarships are available for schools in need of financial assistance. Interested groups should complete the Tour Scholarship Request Form and submit to the Museum's Education Division.

Combine your tour with a Gallery/Studio Workshop or
an Arms and Armor Presentation… or both!
