2–3:30 pm: Artmaking workshop
Enjoy a kid-friendly tour of Kara Patrowicz: The Sally Bishop Prize with the artist, followed by hands-on artmaking fun with felt and fiber. Kara Patrowicz creates depictions of family, motherhood, and everyday life in tapestries and felted work. Learn about Patrowicz’s painterly approach to felting—a technique that blends fibers, typically sheep’s wool, into dense fabric or three-dimensional forms. Following the artist’s tour, create your own fiber artwork to take home.
Open to kids ages 5–12, accompanied by an adult.
