Salisbury HallCelebrate the opening of our Arms and Armor Galleries with weekly reenactments, demonstrations, and interactive displays!
What happens when fashion design meets armor, both centuries ago and today? Meet Elie Hutchinson, founder, art director, and multi-disciplinary designer at Lorica Clothing. Her armor-inspired clothing line launched with a Kickstarter in 2017, and Elie has been spandex smithing ever since. The name “Lorica” comes from the Latin for body armor, and in Christian monastic tradition, a lorica is a prayer of protection.
Program subject to change.
This presentation will be held outside the Arms and Armor Galleries, and reservations are not required to attend. Timed-entry reservations are required to enter the Arms and Armor Galleries.
