The newly redesigned Arts of West, South, and Southeast Asia Gallery will display recent acquisitions and rarely seen works on paper, offering new context to the history and geopolitics of these artworks. Hands-on materials and reimagined displays will bring the impactful art in this gallery to life in new ways.

Art of the Samurai: Japanese Arms and Armor

Part of the Museum’s Higgins Armory Collection, this display of Japanese arms and armor features examples of expert design and metalwork in katanas, armor pieces, firearms, and elaborately articulated figurines from Japan’s Edo Period.
