    Wednesday, July 23, 2014
    11:00 AM-5:00 PM

Get in touch with your inner Caped Crusader on Wednesday, July 23, as the Worcester Art Museum celebrates the 75th anniversary of Batmans first appearance in Detective Comics No. 27. WAM is offering FREE admission to any visitors who come dressed as Batman. Batmobiles and Batcycles get priority parking!

Are you a fan of the Batman and Robin days or the more modern Dark Knight? It doesnt matter! Come check out the Batman costume that Michael Keaton wore in the 1989 Tim Burton movie, Batman, on display in WAMs new Knights! exhibition. Take some selfies, and post on our Facebook page.

From 1 to 3 pm, take part in our regular Wednesday Drawing Club in the galleries, which will have a special Batman theme. Supplies will be provided, or feel free to bring your own.

From 3 to 5 pm, Celebrate Batman Day by making your very own Batman shield! Join us in the Higgins Education Wing, decorate a shield with a batman symbol you create. Help the Dark Knight fight crime and defend the innocent! $5 fee per shield at the Admission Desk.
