Effective March 7, 2022, masks are no longer required at the Worcester Art Museum. Any individual who wishes to wear a mask while in the Museum, for personal or medical reasons, is encouraged to do so.
Since the Museum's vaccination policy was implemented in February, the 7-day positivity rate for our area has decreased drastically and our local hospitals are no longer stretched beyond capacity. The CDC recently released new guidance based on COVID-19 positivity count, hospitalizations, and available hospital beds. Taking into account this new guidance and the improved positivity and hospitalization rates in Central Massachusetts, we have decided to lift the requirement at the end of March. We will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and reevaluate our COVID-19 policies as appropriate.
