Accessibility

The Worcester Art Museum is committed to making its facilities, programs, and services accessible to all audiences. The Museum is actively working on upgrading our amenities to better serve the needs of our diverse audiences through participation in programs such as the Mass Cultural Council’s UP (Universal Participation) Initiative.

For suggestions and/or feedback on accessibility at the Worcester Art Museum, please visit one of the welcome desks and speak with a Visitor Experience Associate (VEA) or email access@worcesterart.org.

Wheelchairs and sitting walkers are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, located in the coatroom in each lobby. Please ask a VEA for assistance.

Elevators are located throughout the Museum. Please note, the main elevator in Stephen Earle Hall is currently down for maintenance. All floors of the Museum remain accessible via other means. Guards are available to assist with directions to each floor. Additionally, please note that the elevator closest to the Salisbury Street entrance may not accommodate all adult-sized power chairs.

Thank you to the Worcester Art Museum Docent Council for their generous donation of a sitting walker to the Museum.
