Gingerbread Castle Competition
Sunday, December 11 - Sunday December 18
Stop by Stephen Salisbury Hall to vote for your favorite castle.
For the third year, the Worcester Art Museum is proud to host the annual Gingerbread Castle Competition. On December 11, and December 14-18, the visiting community will vote on their favorite gingerbread castle. Based on their ballots, the museum will award a Viewer's Choice Award Winner. Judging for professional, amateur, business partner, and youth levels will take place on Sunday, December 18th. Vote for Viewer's Choice Award Winner until 2pm! All awards will be given at the Gingerbread Castle Awards Ceremony on Sunday, December 18 at 3pm.

Champagne & Shopping in the Museum Shop

Free gift wrapping
The public is invited to enjoy shopping, live music, cash bar, and complimentary gift wrapping at this special holiday evening event. Museum Members receive a complimentary glass of champagne while shopping. No admission charged for those just visiting the Museum Shop. Free gift wrapping complements of the WAM Members Council. Valet parking is available. Members receive a 20 percent discount November 25—December 24. The Museum Shop is open seven days a week from December 1—24. On Mondays and Tuesdays access to the Shop is via the front doors on Salisbury Street.
Worcester Art Museum has a unique array of workshops this December, with more than 25 to choose from, there is something sure to fit your interests and schedule. Such as Saturday or Sunday workshops for ages 3-17 years, along with many family friendly workshops including Festive Cards and Make Your Own Noise Maker. Adults can get creative in the studio too with Photography, Open Studio Printmaking, and our popular Pet Portrait workshop. Join us in the studio to make one-of-a-kind creations as a gift or as a treat for yourself. Many of our workshops are open to all ages and abilities. Click here for more information.
First Night Worcester

WAM is proud to participate in First Night Worcester for another festive year! Admission to museum galleries is with free for anyone with a First Night Worcester button. Additionally, visitors with a First Night button are invited to make a noisemaker for their New Year's celebration in our studios from 1-5pm (visitors without a First Night button can participate in the activity for $5). To purchase a First Night Worcester button, visit firstnightworcester.org. First Night Worcester at the Worcester Art Museum is supported by FlexCon.

Medieval Family Weekend

WAM celebrates the re-opening of its newly renovated Medieval Galleries with special gallery tours, lots of beautiful new Medieval-styled decorations, back-to-back events and family activities throughout the Museum. The two-day celebration is packed with programs for family and friends including art carts, arms and armor shows, combat demonstrations, musical performances, medieval dance, art making, shopping and more.
