Brick by Brick: A Community Castle Exhibition
Saturday, December 9 – Sunday February 25
Community exhibition in the Higgins Education Wing
Artists, and LEGO® enthusiasts are encouraged to submit a plastic-brick castle they have created to “Brick by Brick.” This exhibition will display the broad artistic interpretations of this beloved material. Whether the work of art was from a kit or from your own imagination, all entries, from artists of all ages, are welcomed.
Champagne & Shopping in the Museum Shop

Free gift wrapping
The public is invited to enjoy shopping, live music, cash bar, and complimentary gift wrapping at this special holiday evening event. Museum Members receive a complimentary glass of champagne while shopping. No admission charged for those just visiting the Museum Shop. Free gift wrapping complements of the WAM Members Council. Valet parking is available. Members receive a 20 percent discount November 24 – December 24. The Museum Shop is open seven days a week from December 1-24. On Mondays and Tuesdays access to the Shop is via the front doors on Salisbury Street.
Worcester Art Museum has a unique array of workshops this December, with more than 25 adult and 40 youth/teen workshops to choose from, there is something sure to fit your interests and schedule. Such as Saturday or Sunday workshops for ages 3-17 years, along with many daytime family friendly workshops including Bookmaking and Block Printing. Adults can get creative in the studio too with Open Studio Printmaking, popular options like Street Photography, or a Guest Artist workshop. Join us in the studio to make one-of-a-kind creations as a gift or as a treat for yourself. Many of our workshops are open to all ages and abilities. Click here for more information.

Salisbury Singers, Holiday Concert

Salisbury Singers is a mixed chorus of selected volunteers under the dynamic leadership of Music Director Michelle Graveline. Their special Holidays at WAM concert is always a popular event at the Museum. Free with Museum admission.
Merrimack Valley Ringers, Holiday Concert
Sunday, December 17, 2pm
The Merrimack Valley Ringers, an auditioned community hand bell ensemble, delight audiences with their infectious joy, and make it their goal to capture their audience from the first note with their gusto and warmth. Don't miss this favorite of the Holidays at WAM season. Free with Museum admission.
Zip Tours – Saturdays at 1pm
Celebrate the season with a holiday themed tour. These fast-paced, docent-led gallery talks are designed to offer a short but in-depth view of a single work or artist. Free with Museum admission.
December Tour of the Month:
December 2 and 16, 2pm – Coming Away: Winslow Homer and England
Tour this exciting exhibition featuring the most comprehensive group of oils made during or emerging directly from Homer's time abroad. Shown alongside comparative paintings by English artists, these works complicate our understanding of Homer's art as purely American in subject and style. Tour begins in Lancaster Welcome Center. Free with Museum Admission.
Saturday Family Tour

These brief intergenerational tours take place on the first Saturday of each month; this tour will have a winter theme. Free with Museum admission.
