Looking to escape the winter doldrums? Visit the Worcester Art Museum and Tower Hill Botanic Garden and take in the sights and smells of Flora in Winter, a riveting and beautiful exhibition of live floral arrangements. Garden clubs and floral designers from throughout New England will create 22 floral arrangements at the Museum inspired by its world-renowned permanent collection of art. Arrangers will also create 20 floral displays for Tower Hill, celebrating classical Rome in the form of a Roman deity, architecture, or a famous Roman quotation. Join us for opening party celebrations, special programs and guided tours at both locations.

Celebrate Flora in Winter at this reception at the Worcester Art Museum with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Special appearance by sponsor Classical WCRB 102.5's Laura Carlo. Musical entertainment includes pianist Jordan McCullough from Classical WCRB 102.5, and WPI Woodwind and String Quartet. Free for WAM Members, $7 for THBG Members; $15 Nonmembers. No RSVP required.

Ikebana and Beyond: Lunch and Lecture at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Mosaic Interpretive Challenge Demonstration at the Worcester Art Museum

Watch four arrangers interpret the same mosaic in the Renaissance Court using the same materials, resulting in four different floral creations. Free for WAM Members and free with general admission. No RSVP required. Museum open extended hours on Friday, January 27 until 6PM.

Flora: Beyond the Seen at the Worcester Art Museum

Worcester Art Museum and Audio Journal are collaborating on making the popular Flora In Winter exhibition accessible to people with visual impairments. In an effort to reach out to individuals who are blind, exhibition programs will be available in audio, Braille and large print formats. The audio will include in-depth descriptions of the art, the floral arrangements, and interviews with the floral arrangers. A tactile table containing various floral elements used in the exhibition for a touch and feel experience, and docent-led tours of the exhibit will also be available.

Flora In Winter Admission
Regular admission fees apply at each institution. Admission is free to members of that institution. For others, Worcester Art Museum admission is $10 adults, $8 senior citizens and full-time students with ID, and free for youth 17 and under. Museum admission is free for everyone on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. Tower Hill admission is $8 adults, $5 seniors ages 65 and older and youth ages 6-18. Admission is free for children under 6.
Other Services And Amenities
The Museum Café at the Worcester Art Museum and Twigs Café at Tower Hill offer light lunches. At the Worcester Art Museum, enjoy lunch Thursday through Sunday from 11:30 to 3PM Twigs Café welcomes diners Thursday through Sunday from 11AM to 3PM
The Museum Shop and the Shop at Tower Hill will be open all Flora in Winter hours and feature special items related to Flora.
