Join British art historian Nicholas Bagshawe for an overview of this intriguing period. At the end of the 19th century, a group of highly imaginative artists including Moreau, Redon and Puvis de Chavannes produced paintings on fantastic literary, mythical and dream-inspired themes. Alphonse Mucha's work and life were greatly influenced by their work, and their efforts form a fascinating link to the Surrealists of the 20th century. Bagshawe was educated at Stowe School and Oxford University and trained at Sotheby's (London).
