Making the Micro Macro: Colorized Microscopy Images from WPI
January 6-24, 2014
Each year, students ranging from Ph.D. Candidates to High School Interns perform research at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Some of these students have collected imagery from WPI’s enormous scanning electron microscope (SEM) and other equipment, then digitally colorized the images in creative ways. This installation is held in conjunction with the Jeppson Idea Lab installation of Michael Benson’s colorized image of deep space, “Carina Nebula.”
