Printmaking Workshop: Woodcut, Etching, and More

Instructor: Tom Lewis

Materials List and Helpful Information for Printmakers

This course and workshop includes some materials as stated in the class description. It is not necessary for you to run out to the local art store and purchase expensive materials. One of the hallmarks of non-toxic printmaking is finding new materials to replace older toxic methods. Often the new materials are less expensive. For example, a 5" x 7" copper plate suggested for beginning etchers comes from Home Depot Stores at half the price of local art stores.

I would like to provide you with some good suppliers from where you may wish to order some extra materials, especially if you intend to continue with Printmaking or are considering teaching the non-toxic methods. Additional information will be provided throughout the course.
