Oriental Brush Painting with Sharon Smith Viles

All Levels

For some this course is an introduction to Oriental Brush painting. For others it will be a continuation and growing appreciation for the art form. This painting technique is the expression of the scholarly artist's view of life. It has as its roots the beautiful tradition of calligraphy. For beginners the subject matter will be exclusively the “four paragons”. The grass orchid, the bamboo, the chrysanthemum, and the Plum Blossom. Intermediate Students will do studies in seasonal flowers and landscapes.
