#111 Japanese Woodblock Printing

Instructor: Keiji Shinohara

1. Carving tools and an Exacto knife. (Keiji will provide the blades for the knives.) If you wish to purchase carving tools Keiji will recommend Power Grip #15.636.7 (seven piece tool set) $39.95.

2. A tube of each color you intend to use. Gouache paints only. (No acrylic or watercolor.)
3. 4-5 small cups, yogurt cups or baby food jars work fine
4. 3-4 small paint brushes for mixing colors
5. small towel
6. Bench-hook or clamps if you have them.
7. Paper, suggested type is Reeves lightweight or medium weight, 5 or 6 sheets.
8. A Sharpie pen, it must be a Sharpie so that it won't smudge on the acetate.
9. A plastic trash bag
