Loans from the WAM Collection

In 2013, ten works of art from the Museum’s collection were featured in exhibitions at institutions throughout the United States and in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Camille Pissarro’s 1902 painting, The Duquesne and Berrigny Bassins at Dieppe, Overcast Weather (Bassins Duquesne et Berrigny à Dieppe, temps gris), was seen in Pissarro dans les ports - Rouen, Dieppe, Le Havre at the Musée André Malraux, Le Havre, France. The White Horse (1922) by George Wesley Bellows was included in George Bellows (1882-1925) at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; and the Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK. Kay Sage’s painting I Have No Shadow (1940) was lent to In Wonderland: The Surrealist Adventures of Women Artists in Mexico and the United States, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, California; Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Québec, Canada; and Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City, Mexico.
